The feed as an indicator of topic segmentation
The distribution of subscribers to a feed by means of receipt chosen by the user, can be an excellent indicator of the type of people who follow your blog. Through this graphic and we empirically guess its 2.0 culture, age and even their life or work habits.
On top of this entry you have the distribution graph of my blog subscribers on curiosities. As you can see, 37% of supporters of the feed to receive news directly to your Google Reader. Only 24% prefer to receive your e-mail. And the rest is subscribed to through more or less known, but constitute a minority compared to the total percentage.
However, notice that I present the chart below these lines. It is for the feed from my art journal, Logopress.es. 87% of subscribers prefer to receive a daily email with the latest news from the last 24 hours before subscribing to a feed reader!

Good article.
For me, for my blogs on technology and those who are not, your rule is fulfilled to perfection. In fact, it is likely that the ratio hits / subscribe to feeds is different in the two cases. Many people do not know yet what they are and how to handle it, so if you have a blog about "no-tech" maybe we should try to form some people.
